Birthday

by Cassidini

What was your worst birthday and why? Be extremely detailed about what made it such an awful memory. As always, you can make it into a character's story and exaggerate all the details to an extreme degree.

My worst birthday was when I turned 11. My birthday was on a Tuesday, and the week was alright until Saturday (October 17th, 2009). I was celebrating my birthday on that Saturday so I could have time to talk to all my family! Later that day at about 5 p.m. my dads mom called and asked my dad if he could get over to my great  grandma and grandpa's house. My mom and dad went over right after he hung the phone up. I had to stay at my other grandma's house and worry. Maybe four minutes after they left, the town sirens went off. Right then I knew I had said my last good-bye to my great grandpa. It took my mom and dad until 11 p.m. to get home. That was my worst birthday!

How do you feel as though you will change with your upcoming birthday? Will your responsibilities change? Will your clock start ticking a little faster to do something that you've been meaning to do? Be specific and detailed.

I hope I don't change at all this coming birthday, I can't handle it. No my responsibilities will not change. I already have to be the adult, because I'm the oldest. My clock has been ticking since my last birthday, because I get one year closer to driving! I hope this birthday goes by fast!

What is the best present that you've ever gotten for your birthday? Not necessarily the most expensive, but the one that was the most important to you. Talk about it and try to remember where that present is today.

The best present I have ever gotten would have to be the necklace my little sister and little cousins made for me! The necklace was made out of rope, with hay tied on it, dog tags (from the dogs collars), and horse hair was braided and tied onto it. It was the best because the little ones (younger than me) made most of it all alone, and the idea came from the heart! That present is hanging in the room where I keep my saddles, saddle blankets, and reins!
